Every month or so I do a post about my current beauty faves or current lifestyle faves but I wanted to combine those into a monthly obsessions post. Because I write on this blog I try to mix up products I am using so that it’s not just repeat after repeat on these kinds of post. Combining the beauty faves and lifestyle faves posts into one monthly obsessions post makes it easier because I’m not able to mix up what I’m trying more.
So lets start with some lifestyle faves and then beauty faves.
MyFitnessPal and Map My Walk
Both of these apps are what I am currently using to track my weight, food, and activity. I have made posts about WW and I still follow that program but in addition to that I am tracking my calories with MyFitnessPal. In addition to that I am also mapping my walks with the Map My Walk app to get accurate distances and times for my walks.
Well I did it, I signed back up for FabFitFun and a few days ago I got my 2020 FabFitFun Summer Box*! If you don’t know what FabFitFun is here is a little explanation…
FabFitFun is a seasonal subscription box service that is billed each season at $49.99 or annually at $179.99 for a year of boxes (4), depending on the option chosen. This quarterly subscription box delivers a selection of 8-10 full-size premium products to your front door. Each box includes the latest in beauty, fashion, fitness, and wellness. You can customize each seasonal box by selecting some of your products beforehand or choose to keep your box a complete surprise. Annual members have more selections than the seasonal members.
The start of spring is only a week away even though in some places it might not feel like it. Personally I’m still in winter mode which means I’m still in sweaters and leggings or jeans. So today I wanted to get a little spring outfit inspirations. I decided to do this because I have a full outfit in my Torrid cart just sitting there waiting to be bought, and I hope I can save the money before any of it sells out. I really love the outfit and it is one of the outfits I will be showing.
Truthfully I am the kind of person that has some trouble putting outfits together in my real everyday life. However, in my quest to be come more organized and motivated, being put together day to day can help improve motivation. Now I’m not saying that having a good outfit will change your life but it can change your attitude if you feel good about yourself and the way you look.
With the Christmas season officially started we now start the season of gift buying, sending cards, and figuring out what gifts we want. Now out of that small list of things let me tell you the hardest part for me is figuring out what to tell people that I want. Most people in my family will tell you that out of everyone I am one of the hardest people to shop for. I get so wrapped up in figuring out what I am going to buy everyone else, and hand making my Christmas cards, and doing everything else that when I am asked “Hey Bennita what do you want for Christmas?” I totally blank out.
I really, really love Instagram. I definitely love it more than Facebook and Twitter!
It is such a simple form of social media and I’m not bombarded with random crap I don’t want to see. Unlike with Facebook and Twitter, Instagram isn’t full of Politics and unwanted crap filling your fee when all you want is to see your friends pictures and updates. I love that Instagram is photo focused and as the saying goes, ‘A picture is worth a thousand words.’
Today I want to feature some of my favorite fall photography from Instagram. Just so you know, fall and winter are my favorite times of the year… you might start to notice that as time goes on.
