Look, I get it… It’s only August and I am posting about the holidays already. Actually I should say, posting about the holidays again.
Thanksgiving and Christmas always takes a lot of planning for me because we have to save and plan in order to actually afford it. Sean and I used to be the last minute Christmas people, running around only a week or two before Christmas to get gifts and generic cards.
However, in recent years after my grandmother passed away it was up to us and my mom to take over most of the Christmas and Thanksgiving traditions. Sometimes it can be very hectic and I don’t understand how my grandma did it with out a huge planner. I always remember going to her house and the only thing she did to keep organized was write notes on post-its.
Well I did it, I signed back up for FabFitFun and a few days ago I got my 2020 FabFitFun Summer Box*! If you don’t know what FabFitFun is here is a little explanation…
FabFitFun is a seasonal subscription box service that is billed each season at $49.99 or annually at $179.99 for a year of boxes (4), depending on the option chosen. This quarterly subscription box delivers a selection of 8-10 full-size premium products to your front door. Each box includes the latest in beauty, fashion, fitness, and wellness. You can customize each seasonal box by selecting some of your products beforehand or choose to keep your box a complete surprise. Annual members have more selections than the seasonal members.
Hi everyone! I hope everyone is staying safe and sane at home and that you are doing well. I figured today we could celebrate Friday by just winding down and doing something fun. Gardening.
This year we built a raised herb bed for the patio and planted a few things in the topsy-turvys and let me tell you something… Gardening is so relaxing and if you have littles its a great life lesson and great bonding time everyday.
Today I wanted to share my current lifestyle faves. Just like with my Beauty Faves, I want to share a few lifestyle items that I am currently loving and using all the time. I haven’t done a Beauty Faves update since March so one of those will be coming soon.
My first item should actually be in the next Beauty Faves post but I wanted to post about it sooner.
The first time I used this exfoliator it was because I received it in a FabFitFun box. It have become one of my favorite exfoliators and whenever I see it at a discount on FabFitFun I make sure I get at least one.
Today I wanted to talk a little about finances and in the current state of our economy during the pandemic we really need to keep an eye on how we are spending more than usual. In this post I am going to focus more on debt because keeping the debt we already have in check will help in the long run.
Something I use all the time is a debt snowball. What is a debt snowball? If done right a debt snowball is like rolling a snowball down hill, as it rolls it gets bigger and bigger.
When it comes to debt snowball it is the process of paying more than the minimum payment on your smallest debt while paying your minimum payment on the rest of your accounts. Once your smallest debt is paid the month amount is then added to your next debts payment. This strategy makes paying down you debts faster because you are making larger and larger payments as you move along.
To do this is use the following website, Undebt.it
One room I haven’t really shared any wish lists for is our kitchen. Mostly because we aren’t 100% settled on how to remodel it. As with any relationship, our wants sometimes clash with the other person and the kitchen is one of those.
In my opinion I think that the person who spends most of their time in the space should get the last say. So, when it comes to the kitchen, the person who cooks, cleans, and cares for the space the most is me. As the person who does all the cooking and cleaning in the kitchen I want to remodel in a way that functions for me. For example, I want to place items in cupboards that would make it easier for me to grab while I’m cooking or cleaning but Sean doesn’t like it. My argument is that he isn’t even using it so why would it have to be convenient for him?
Hi guys… I know its been awhile since you’ve heard from me and I want to apologize for that. Quarantine has me losing track of time and my mind lol so today I thought I would hop on and share a short personal update.
Hello my beautiful bunnies! Happy Easter 2020! I know things are grim right now and the world is a mess but I figured like I do with every holiday I can share some uncommon history and hopefully spread some joy.
Hello my loves and happy Friday before Easter or as some call it Good Friday. Today I figured I would share a fun D.I.Y. with you to do if you have littles to celebrate Easter. I know with everything we are going through a little fun and a break is so badly needed so; today we are going to learn how to make Easter Bunny tracks.
