Today I thought I would do a little current beauty faves and some updates on my Current Beauty Faves post from October. As I learn more about beauty, hair care, and skin care I will be trying new things. I want to try to do a faves and updates every three months. My last beauty faves list was centered around make up and a couple skin care items. This time my list is shorter and isn’t just make up centered.
Current Beauty Faves
I have been using Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides for a few years and I 100% see a difference in my hair and skin. The standard serving is two scoops but I only do one and still see a difference in the way my hair grows and the way my joints feel.
The reason I started introducing collagen into my every day routine was for skin elasticity during my weight loss journey.
Vital Proteins’ Collagen Peptides are easily digested and soluble in cold or hot liquids. Adding a scoop of Collagen Peptides to food or beverages gives you the boost you need to support healthy hair, skin, nails, bone and joint health, muscle recovery, and more.
My Briogeo purchases have all been heavily influenced by the people I watch on YouTube. Mostly RawBeautyKristi, thank you Kristi!
First I tried the moisture and volume lines from Briogeo and I didn’t exactly like them. The moisture one smelled okay but didn’t really work as I expected. The volume line smells weird to me and didn’t actually add much volume.
However, the banana coconut shampoo and conditioner are amazing! I really love the smell, it’s like a mix of banana runts and banana laffy taffy, which I love fake banana smell. It is also so moistening! I love the way it makes my hair feel and look.
I love ColourPop! Their makeup is very affordable and it is consistently high quality. I have most of their eye shadow palettes and love them all.
The Sweet Talk palette is perfect for spring with beautiful pinks, soft oranges, great shimmers, and a nice deep mauve to bring it together.
TooFaced Born This Way Concealer $ 28.00
The TooFaced Born This Way Concealer was on my Make-up Wants post in November. I decided to buy it in December before our Vegas trip so I could get some use out of it in a vacation setting. The day to day on a vacation is a little different than at home and I figured it would put it to the test.
I’m happy to say that I love it. I am the kind of person that likes a light foundation that is more skin like. This concealer was the perfect pairing for my everyday foundation.
When I do my beauty faves every three months from now on I am going to include an update on my previous products. With these updates I don’t want to do in depth like I did in my last faves post, they will be just short updates on each product.
e.l.f. Daily Hydration Moisturizer: I am still using this and I still love it. It is a great basic daily moisturizer that I use as my first product after washing my face.
e.l.f. Hello Hydration! Face Cream: I am still using this as my night time moisturizer. Sometimes if I am having a very dry skin day I will also use it in the morning.
Too Faced Hangover Primer: I have run out of this and haven’t repurchased yet. I love this primer but it cost a lot. I haven’t been able to find one that matches it for cheaper.
Too Faced Hangover 3-in-1 Setting Spray: Repeat the above statement!
Colourpop Hyaluronic Tinted Moisturizer: I am on the fence with this one now. I know that this is a tinted moisturizer and won’t act like a true foundation but I’m not sure I like the staying power it has.
Tarte Babassu Foundcealer: I am still in love with this foundation. It covers but is also light. It is basically what I hold other foundations to when I am trying new ones.
Morphy Y6 Pro Flat Buffer Foundation Brush: Still my number one foundation brush. I need to buy more of them so I don’t have to wash this one so often.
Violet Voss Holy Grail Eye Shadow Palette: I actually haven’t used this since Christmas time. I really love this more for a holiday look rather than everyday make up.
So those are my Current Beauty Faves and Updates! I hope you enjoyed and I would love to hear your favorites or what you think of mine in the comments below.
